Winchester, England

Brooks, Corinna and I took a day trip to Winchester England in March. It's about a 1.5 hour train ride from either Oxford or London, and it is the historic cathedral city and the ancient capital of Wessex and the Kingdom of England.
Winchester's major landmark is its Cathedral, which is one of the largest in England, and has the longest nave of any Gothic Cathedral in Europe. Jane Austen, who died in Winchester, is buried in the north aisle of the nave. The cathedral was also used as a film set for the Da Vinci Code.

We also walked by Winchester College, which claims the longest unbroken history of any school in England. It is an independent public school for boys. We stopped back at 5pm to hear the boys choir sing an Evensong.
